Where did March go? Cannot believe we are four months into 2016 already.

There are so many things I can think of that I would like to accomplish this month. Unfortunately, I cannot to do them all. I prioritized and organized my goals for April, and here are five things I hope to achieve.



This time last year I was 7 months pregnant and in no condition to do a proper spring clean.

I want to get to all those hard-to-reach places, all the windows. Each and every room in the house will be cleaned from the top down. Rugs will be shampooed, and I will dust, dust dust!



Figure out what will work best for my darling son, the hubby and myself.

Can’t say more at the moment.




Everyone deserves to be pampered once in a while. I am planning a spa day to get a mud bath.

Yes – An hour submerging my body in warm dirt and water. Mud baths can help ease aches and muscle pains whilst having a soothing effect on the skin.




Need to do something different, daring, very UNLIKE me. Shorten my hair, change the cut? Not quite sure yet – but it will be different and I will have the pictures to prove it.




It has been a while since I let myself be open enough to meet people and allow them into my life.

Starting my journey of self-development has opened my mind up to what I want and don’t want in life, relationships and friendships. What I will and will accept. As my self- esteem grows (slowly but gradually) I am willing to let people back into my life.

Now these to you may not sound like big accomplishments, or amazing things to look forward to, but this is where I am in life. Right now this is what I need to do for me.

April will be a month of change and motivation. Not only positive thoughts, but positive feelings and actions.

    1. Hi, I live in Vienna and you can do a mud bath at the spa. It helps relax the body and can help with pain.

  5. This seems like a realistic AND uplifting list. Although with such a young one in your arms there are times that brushing your teeth might not feel realistic. I’m excited to see the new look and be one of the new people that you “meet”.

    1. Hi Maria – You can drift away from stress if your practice doing so on a daily basis, I find that different methods work for different people. Either way you look at it, de-stressing is a good thing ๐Ÿ™‚ Congratulations on your 40th (almost) birthday. Make it a great one!

  10. My husband literally just asked me today what I can use that can help me relax & I’ve never had a mud bath! What sort of work will you be going back to after maternity leave?

    This month I plan to ACTUALLY eat better (said as I sit at my desk eating chocolate wafers) and start running again. I went for my first run since having my now 1 year old over the weekend and didn’t realize how much I missed it, just not enough to run when it’s colder than 45 degrees outside ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m also going to get a crown on my root canal and finally see the doctor about my wrist/thumb (I’m thinking it’s either arthritis or carpel tunnel syndrome) which I’ve been putting off by telling myself it was all in my head. Turns out, it’s not! haha

    1. 45 degrees….quick calculation tells me that’s about 7 degrees centigrade? Yup, still pretty cold. It was 22 degrees ( 72 Fahrenheit) in Vienna yesterday! Warm and sunny. I have a friend who runs a lot, and she had to stop for 3 months and she said she didn’t realise how much she missed it and her body needed it. It is a way for her to release stress, is that the same for you? I work as the assistant to the Director of the company I work for so it would be back to organizing, planning, appointments, travel – all things my little one has helped make me an expert in ๐Ÿ™‚
      A root canal……not fun but necessary sometimes. I hope all goes well with your wrist and thumb Kristyn. At times, you just have to give in and go to the doctor. I left healthy eating off my list as the chocolate and sweets just won’t allow it. Try the mud bath if you can and let me know what you think! xoxo S.

Some of the things i would like to accomplish this month are: 1) Lose 2.5 kg’s. 2) Re-inspire my daily meditation. 3) Cultivate a new friendship with someone i have recently met. 4) Exercise for 40 minutes a day. 5) Go for a lymph drainage massage.
